UNPRECEDENTED NEED

The Pillsbury United Communities Rapid Response Fund — How we plan to show up for our community and how you can help.

ICE is creating a massive crisis across Minneapolis. Families are fearful to leave home for work, school, or to shop. Many are in imminent danger of losing housing, jobs and access to basic needs.

PUC is stretching to meet these needs over and above the services and support we provide to thousands of families annually, from food support to childcare.

THE GOAL IS SIMPLE

$1.5M

in emergency funding to be raised.

250 Families

In need of assistance.

3 Months

To cover needs for February, March, and April.

The Rapid Response Fund will help provide CRITICAL SUPPORT, inlcuding: rental and housing support, utilities assistance, emergency support, legal and medical expenses.

Our History

Pillsbury United Communities was founded in 1879 as the Bethel Mission, an offshoot of Plymouth Congregational Church. We trace our roots to many of the earliest settlement houses in our city, including Pillsbury House, Unity House, and Wells Memorial House. Our history is as rich and diverse as the neighborhoods we’ve called home.

Our communities and our work have evolved over the last 140 years, but our mission remains the same: working with our communities to co-create enduring change towards a just society.
