
LEAD Program Director
Sarah Sanchez is the Program Director of LEAD (Let Everyone Advance with Dignity) Minneapolis. In this role, she leads a harm reduction and pre-arrest diversion initiative that connects community members to housing, health care, and recovery resources through intensive case management and partnerships with the City of Minneapolis and local service providers. Previously, Sarah served as Managing Director of Advocacy at the ALS Association, where she led lobbying and grassroots efforts to expand access to healthcare and treatment. Before that, she worked in Advocacy and Community Impact at the American Heart Association, addressing cardiovascular and stroke disparities across the Twin Cities Metro. Sarah also spent seven years as a Community Representative in the district office of former Congressman Keith Ellison, where she managed constituent services, advised policy, and administered the federal grant program. She holds a BS in Family Social Science with a focus in Family Violence Prevention from the University of Minnesota. In her personal time, Sarah is active in the Red Shoe Society, a volunteer group supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Upper Midwest. She was also appointed to the Minnesota Advisory Council to the United States Commission on Civil Rights.
