Leona Diggs is a proud Liberian American representing her homeland, “Mama Liberia.” She is an accomplished education leader with more than seven years of experience in higher education, specializing in student affairs and academic affairs, as well as an extensive background in K-12 education. She is deeply committed to fostering institutional effectiveness, enhancing student retention, and improving graduation rates through comprehensive and inclusive strategies.

A proven leader in driving cognitive and behavioral interventions, she is focused on improving student learning outcomes and introducing students to higher education. Her deep knowledge of human relations is rooted in her commitment to serving others and fostering the growth and success of every student.

Ms. Diggs holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology from Minnesota State University—Mankato, and a Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration from Iowa State University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Educational Leadership at Minnesota State University—Moorhead, after transferring from the University of St. Thomas—Minnesota.

She is excited to bring her expertise in educational leadership, DEI advocacy, and dedication to student success to Pillsbury United Communities. She looks forward to collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to continue advancing educational excellence and equity.
